2010 Nursing Spectrum Nursing Excellence Award Winner 07/22/2010

Kelly Kingsbury-Simonton, RN, ICU staff nurse and education specialist at Franklin Square Hospital Center, has received the 2010 Nursing Spectrum Nursing Excellence Award in the category of Clinical Care. The awards program recognizes the extraordinary contributions nurses make to their patients, one another and the profession. Kingsbury-Simonton was selected for the award for being an exceptional critical care clinician who readily shares her knowledge through a variety of initiatives throughout the hospital and community. She credits her success to the hospital’s culture of life long professional development and the support she has received that has taken her farther than she thought she could go.
