Columbia, Md., September 22, 2011—MedStar Health was for the fifth time named a "Best Place to Work" by the Baltimore Business Journal. In addition, it was awarded the top honor of first place for the "Best Place to Work" in the Best Large Business (500+ employees) category. This year, 30 businesses across Baltimore and its surrounding counties were eligible for awards.
"Our associates are MedStar Health’s greatest asset and the core of our success," says Ken Samet, FACHE, President and CEO, MedStar Health. "We are proud to be honored as a 'Best Place to Work,' and are committed to providing the ideal work experience so that associates can provide excellent patient care."
The "Best Place to Work" awards recognize organizations that have gone above and beyond in fostering a productive, enjoyable and meaningful work environment. Selection is based on the results of an employee satisfaction survey administered by a third party on behalf of the Baltimore Business Journal.
MedStar was lauded for providing ample opportunities for associates to move up within the organization and its tuition reimbursement program.
